This luxury residential development is home to three golf courses. The original South course, designed by William Mitchell in 1974 is considered the best of the three. This championship course has hosted past Portuguese Opens, and is sure to be enjoyed by golfers of all handicaps. The North course just recently underwent major redesign to its tees, greens and bunkers, reopening in October 2014. The newest course at Quinta do Lago, Laranjal, was designed by Jorge Santana da Silva and opened for play in 2009. The Laranjal course uniquely has five par fives, five par threes, and eight par fours.
