The Strand course,always a top-5 course in Northern Ireland, was founded in 1894 and designed by Des Giffin. A hybrid course, mixing old and new styles, as seven new holes were created in the sand dunes in the late 1980’s. Amidst enormous sand dunes, the Strand course offers views across the Atlantic mouth of Lough Foyle.
