Prestwick

Ranked 75th best course in the world, Prestwick Golf Club is where The Open Championship was born. Designed as a 12-hole layout by Old Tom Morris in 1851, the first Open Championship was hosted here in 1860, and was played at Prestwick until 1873 when it moved to St. Andrews. The Open was hosted at Prestwick 24 times in total; only St. Andrews (26) has hosted more.
