Ranked 37th best golf course in the world, and 7th best in Scotland. The original architect is unknown, but the course was expanded from a 6-hole layout to its full 18 in 1877. The land is slightly raised above sea level to provide excellent views of West Bay, Craigleith, and the North Sea beyond.
