The
Costa Del Sol has for years been the playground of Europe's
rich and famous. With guaranteed weather, beautiful  golf courses, first
class hotels and sizzling nightlife, it's no wonder this
area attracts the jetset! Marbella has shops and restaurants
to rival London or Paris, as well as an exclusive harbour
and marina - Porto Banus. However,
you need only travel a short distance inland to discover
the true Spain. Ronda is a medieval village straddling
a gorge and Granada, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada
mountains, is a marvellous city bristling with reminders
of Spain's Moorish past such as the Alhambra, a spectacular
Moorish palace famous for its gardens. For the more adventurous,
day trips to Gibraltar or Morocco are readily available.

There
are a number of golf courses worthy of your attention. Valderrama,
scene of the 1997 Ryder Cup, requires no introduction. Some
others are San Roque, home to the European PGA, Sotogrande
Old, Alcaidesa, La Cala, Royal Las Brisas and Mijas.

at San Roque, for example, is right on the course and
close to Valderrama, Sotogrande and Alcaidesa. Or, for
those wishing to be closer to the nightlife, we recommend
Los Monteros or The Marbella Club.
