A final qualifying venue for
the Open Championship when it is held at nearby
Royal Troon, as well as a host to numerous
other events. This excellent links features
some daunting rough and greens that are consistently
fast and true, together with a line of dunes
stretching from the 5th to the 13th holes
and out-of-bounds to the right from the 14th
onwards. Founded in 1897 the course looks
out over the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of
